maintenance support.
FNSS has been transferring modern
technologies to Turkey through the
armored combat vehicles manufactured
with technology transfer and thus
contributes to Turkish Armed Forces'
integration with the contemporary
technology. FNSS has the most
advanced computer hardware and
software and utilizes CAD/CAM
(computer aided design and computer
aided manufacturing) and direct
numerical control systems compatible
with modern defense industry
technology in production. The
company has modern quality assurance
laboratories including a ballistics
testing laboratory..
FNSS has also considered vendor base
development important and within a
very short period of its

delivered to UAE under the agreement
signed. Deliveries under this
contract have been completed.
The company signed contract with
Malaysia in 2000 for its second
exports project to manufacture and
deliver different types of Armored
Combat vehicles. The project was
completed in 2004. Under this
contract the technology transfer has
also been made to the said country.
This was the biggest defense system
exportation achieved so far in the
Turkish Defense Industry Sector in
one go.
The company has also exported
Armored Recovery Vehicle to
Philippines Armed Forces.
FNSS signed in October 2000 with the
Undersecretariat for Defense
Industries the 2nd package of
Armored Combat Vehicles contract
covering production of additional
Advanced Armored Personnel Carriers.
Production and deliveries under this
contract have already been
completed.
In addition to vehicle sales, FNSS
realizes sales of spare parts, kits,
subsystems and logistics packages.
In this context, the company signed
a long term contract with Belgium
Army to provide logistics and
technical support to their existing
M113 and AIFV type vehicles. FNSS
also exported parts and subsystems
to the countries such as Canada,
USA, Chile, Australia, Pakistan,
Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia
and continues sales to NAMSA (NATO
Maintenance and Supply Agency).
FNSS has also modernized and
upgraded AIFV and M113 vehicles for
some of its customers.
FNSS recently completed the
development of a new Wheeled Armored
Vehicle family called “PARS”. PARS
is the new family of Wheeled Armored

and 10X10 using 98% of the same
components. This system of wheeled
vehicles with its advanced design,
large payload capacity, exceptional
mobility and common components meets
the most challenging mission
requirements.
FNSS was recently selected by SSM to
develop the Mobile Amphibious
Assault Bridges to meet the need of
Turkish Land Forces. The contract
between SSM and FNSS was signed in

www.nurolzemansteel.com
NZ (Nurol Zeman) Steel
Construction Engineering
Building Industry and Trade
Inc. , was founded in early
2005 by the marriage of
Nurol Machinery/Steel
Division, a leading
corporation in Turkey and
the Zeman Group, a leading
Austrian steel construction
company with 20 locations in
Europe. This partnership
consists of not only the
total investment of
1.850.000;€ by Nurol
Machinery Inc. for the SIN
Profile Production line
which has been developed and
constructed by Company Zeman
and erected at Kazan-Ankara
factory of Nurol Machinery
Steel Division again under
the supervision of Company
Zeman, but also the
establishment of NZ Steel
Inc. with 50% ownership of
both companies, which is
making the engineering,
sales and marketing
activities to present and
sell this spectacular
product. NZ has united the
vast experience of Nurol in
domestic and international
markets and the
international manufacturing
and project implementation
experiences of Zeman with a
view to enter new markets.
Owing to the experience of
its constituent companies on
international projects,
standards, and modern
project management
techniques, NZ will achieve
successful implementations
in new markets.
|
|
|
NZ is a reliable corporation which has
the financial support and the
accumulation of knowledge of its
constituent companies. The priority
objective of NZ Steel is to advise,
design, calculate, construct, produce,
deliver and assemble anything from
complex steel structures to all purpose
industrial hangars such as shopping
centers, sports complexes and tailor
made hangars in countries like Turkey,
Israel, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon,
Persian Gulf, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan,
Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan.
We are proud of presenting the high
technology product SIN Beam (Corrugated
Web Beam) which provides economical
solutions for large spans , high
load-bearing capacity , a minimum
production time and Legato Arc Systems
which allows to curve meanwhile
commonly used and well known straight
trapezoidal corrugated metal panels to
arched elements to Turkish Steel
Industry.
The high technology SIN beam provides
economical solutions for larger spans
and high load-bearing capacity in
minimum production time. Girders,
columns, single and multi-nave frames,
bridge structures, craneway girders and
frame works with larger spans are
produced more economically and safely by
the SIN beam.
Compared to the classical approach ;SIN
Profiles are showing the following
crucial characteristics:
-
High load-bearing capacity with
comparatively low design weight
-
Increased savings with increasing
spans
-
Saving in building height compared
with lattice beam constructions
-
Utmost optimization of weight due to
adaptability of building heights
-
Minimum loss in production
-
Fast production through complete
automation and short delivery times
-
Suitable to use for a span of 40 m.
without using a column
The new age SIN beam will open a new
road in the design, fabrication and
erection of hangars, industrial
buildings, sports, exhibition and
leisure complexes. SIN beams produce
exceptionally economical and technically
sophisticated structures improved by a
revolutionary design technology and high
load-bearing capacity. Leading companies
are now choosing SIN beams for their
construction needs SIN beams’ high
quality, safe construction is used in
shopping malls, business centers and
factories. SIN beams, economical and
popular around the world, are now
available in Turkey. Due to
sophisticated computer controlled
equipment, all costly and time consuming
welding processes are minimized through
automation. Brief processing times for
the corrugated web beams (automatic
welding capacity of 1 m per minute)
guarantee the specified production
deadlines.
As a summary NZ Steel Inc. is continuing
its activities at his office in Ankara/Karum
Business Center Nr. 21/446, in order to
present the SIN Profiles to Turkish
steel sector, which will anyway cause a
revolution in steel industry in a very
short time period. These profiles have
been already used for Real and Metro
Shopping Malls in Germany and Poland.
In order to make the marketing of the
SIN Profiles lots of marketing
activities such as participation to the
fairs, advertisements in different
sectoral magazines and newspapers are
being done.
Also project,fabrication and erection
works have been finished with signing
the initial acceptance for Seramik Anka
Project (Seramik Toprak Urunleri Ltd) in
December 2006 which was built in
Çifteler / Eskişehir approximately
24.000m2 area
Project studies were started in May 2006
and 1016 tons steel materials were used
in this project which consists of 7
different parts. Whole project works
were made by NZ engineers which the
fabrication of the construction were
made by Nurol Makina A.Ş. Çelik
Işletmeleri.The project has included
fabrication and the erection of the
steel construction and supplying,
delivering, erecting of the roof and
façade claddings approximately 35.000 m2
area.
After achieving Seramik Anka factory
building Project,expansion building
steel construction works have been given
to NZ Steel Const. within the current
contract which will be constructed in
2007 and approximately 16.000m2 area.
NZ Steel Construction spent a successful
year, completed 15 projects using with
SIN profiles in 2006
